* Smaller, superficial peels - lactic, glycolic, salicylic.
* Medium-depth peels - ACT, in Jessner.
* Deep peels - phenol.
We will deal only with the strength of the medium-TCA peels here, because they are easiest to do (in Jessner may require multiple applications simultaneously and recording to assist in the penetration of the skin), plus insurance, and so far the most effective against a number of skin ailments / conditions. They are also one of the most effective treatments for acne currently known to the medical community. Some of these things are good for acne scars.
